How do you shine? What gives you character? What makes you unique? As Christmas quickly approaches I want to invite you to think about what your gifts to the world are, so I am sharing this little coaching tool to help you appreciate yourself in all your amazing and awesome uniqueness!

It's true that we're all more similar than we may realize, but it can be helpful for us to truly value ourselves and the gifts we bring when we recognize what makes us, uniquely us!

INSTRUCTIONS

1. To begin set aside 30 minutes to celebrate you! Make a cup of your favourite tea and find somewhere comfy & relaxing where you can really sink into this exercise.

2. Start by brainstorming all your unique qualities, knowledge, skills and experiences and then write them down. I would like to offer a couple of tips for this exercise: No judgements please, there is no good or bad here, just the reality of you. Think broadly, loosely and come from your the heart. Include duplicates or similar items, these are great as they show a theme or pattern! Include small things, big things, important things and"unimportant" things. Include what makes you different, anything and everything that makes you, YOU. Remember this isn't about what you might think looks good to others, this is about what you are proud of within yourself.

3. When the list is completed, circle the ten items you're most proud of.

4. Now for each of the ten iteams you've circled, consider what strengths & qualities lie underneath. For example completing a marathon might represent courage, determination and focus. Write these extra qualities next to the item.

5. Choose the one item you like most about yourself, and put a star next to it.

Here are some things to consider including in the next step.

When we experience life events that we feel have been difficult or negative it's easy to notice what they have taken away or denied us, but they also usually give us something in return. For everything we have lost we have gained something and for everything we have gained, we have lost something. Such as healthy or helpful habits, challenges overcome, achievements, hobbies, skills and talents (however small, simple or seemingly unimportant), qualities, your desires, your creations, how you make a difference in the world, the knowledge you have, relationships you have cultivated, what you do for fun as well as what you get complimented for!

Now list everything that makes you unique, what makes you, YOU?

What have you learned about yourself from this exercise?

What new belief could you now create about yourself and carry forward in life?

Much Love and Many Blessings
